In development
Open hardware for your TV.
OpenStick is a 4K HDR streaming stick with a published design, a home screen without ads, and built-in control from the smart home you already use.
Every part, documented.
The board, case and remote are designed in the open and published under an open hardware licence. Anyone can inspect them, repair them, or build on them.

What it does
Streams at full quality
Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video and HBO Max in 4K HDR, through each service’s own certified app. Google Cast is built in.
A home screen without ads
No sponsored rows and no autoplaying trailers. Your apps, in the order you choose.
Part of your smart home
Turn the TV on, open an app or show a notification from Home Assistant, Apple Home or Google Home. Or script it with the local API.
Private by default
OpenStick’s own software collects nothing. During setup you see what Google and the streaming apps collect, with every optional setting off.
Open where it can be, and clear about where it can’t
Streaming services only deliver 4K to certified devices running verified software. So every OpenStick ships locked. Everything else, we publish.

Unlocking is your choice. An unlocked OpenStick runs any operating system you like; streaming services then play in a browser at up to 720p, and everything else keeps working. How unlocking works
